Paperdeer's debut EP was originally released by a Budapest-based startup label BP Resonating on 8th January 2014, consisting of the band's first three tracks after Emese Stewart joined. Before publishing the self-titled EP, Paperdeer made their first music video for 'Up To The Top' as a teaser for the upcoming release. Later, 'Spencer' was featured in a Pepsi Twist video campaign which gave the first kickstart to the band in Hungary. In 2015, ‘Spencer’ was also featured in Utomik’s promotional video ‘Unlimited Gaming’. Desiring for more independence, Paperdeer has left BP Resonating and rereleased the EP independently, merged with their first single ‘Spencer feat. Skeeny Boy’. The original version of ‘Spencer’ had been remastered, while radio edits of ‘Up To The Top’ and ‘Spencer feat. Skeeny Boy’ had also been added to the compilation.

'Their track "Up To The Top" features Emese Stewart with her melancholy voice that's softly spoken. Their production reminds us a lot of The New Division except with a calmer approach keeping things in the technological realm.
